What’s iShopps?
iShopps is an iPhone App that allows users to share, in a new and exciting way, their shopping experiences and find out what’s new. Users can share in real time their shopping experience, when they go to stores to get something or just to have a look, by taking pictures or videos of those interesting products.
By using iShopps also retailers can share in real time products, news, prices, promotions of their store. And everything is made in a simple, quick and amusing way. Stores, brand stores, shopping malls can open for free an iShopps account and start to advert their products and offers in the same way everybody can open a social network account and take pictures.
iShopps has been developed in order to create a new way of shopping, in order to share in real time trends and products from all over the world stores.

How much does the App cost?
It is totally free of charge and immediately available on the Apple App Store.

What are “love”, “gift” and “bought” and how can I use them?
iShopps allows user to post pictures and/or short videos (max. 15 seconds) and divide them in three different categories: “love”, “gift” and “bought”.

In the category “love” you can share not only those products you would like to get, but also those you like or think can be interesting and suitable for other users. You can also share the shopping streets, amazing shopping windows, stores’ ambient and unconventional point of view of the stores you get in, signs, brands, packages and everything else can be interesting about the shopping world.

In the category “gift” you can share products you have bought (or you wish to buy) in order to make a gift for someone. It is always nice to get a present for other people, thinking about the happiness and surprise of the person who is going to receive the gift you got. But it will be better and more useful to share these moments with your friends, you can ask them for advices and suggestions when you are not sure about what to get!

The “bought” category is dedicated to purchased products. It is always a good feeling to spend a little time going shopping, finding something perfect and making yourself a gift. Sharing this pleasure with other people in real time is more gratifying because every feeling in the world is better when shared.

If I take a video, how long can it be?
The time limit for video is 15 seconds.

Is iShopps sharable on other services?
iShopps services can currently be shared on Facebook, you can login with your Facebook account and share items uploaded on your iShopps on the Facebook Service. But we are working in order to put other Social Networks on iShopps.

What if I have some technical issues and need support?
The best way to solve your technical problems is by visiting our website on the Support webpage, where you can fill in the form for technical issues.

Who can see my items?
Every item you share is Public, so available for all iShopps users. Any way you can decide to make some of your items private, by using the “Private only” button (lock icon) so they will be visible only to you in your private account. Once you have shared your items, you can not change them into Private, but you can delete them with the “delete button, so in this case also other information of that item will be deleted.

When will the App be available on Blackberry, Windows Phone 7, iPad, etc ?
Very soon. We are working in order to implement the App also on other systems.

What does the fact that the App is also available for Retailers mean?
iShopps is a service that allows users to share shopping information all over the world. Then, in order to make your shopping experience more complete, we are also giving retailers the opportunity to share with you promotions, discounts, offers, new products and any other information that can help you improving your shopping experience.

Can I take pictures inside the store?
The responsibility and the right of authorization for taking pictures or recording videos inside stores is at the discretion of the Store Manager or Store Owner. Please remember however that taking pictures of other people inside public places is considered to be illegal. Should you not be allowed to take pictures inside the store please respect the rules, but where possible, explain to the retailer how the App works and what advantages there are for the store. You can find more information about this in the section Terms of service.

Can I buy products on iShopps?
iShopps has been developed with the goal of giving you a new shopping experience inside stores, and for this reason it is not possible to buy any product on the App. However we are working in order to make it possible in future to buy some of the products sold by the retailers.

What are the ashtags?
Every time you share an amazing product, you can write down the key words that describe your product in the field “Tag” By writing these keywords, another user who is looking for that kind of item and who shares your tastes can find those products thanks to your tips!

What is “Popularity” on iShopps
Every time you the use the App, recommend a friend or a retailer to register on iShopps, you will receive some points which will make your iShopps status grow. In order to get points you simply have to start using the app, upload pictures and videos, interact with the other users, gain followers, interact with retailers or invite other friends to register.

How many status level are on iShopps?
Any time you use iShopps with a Private user account (not retailer) you can get more points in order to reach a new level of popularity in the community. There are five user statuses:

“star” over 50.000 points
“celebrity” from 20.000 to 49.999 points
“expert” from 5.000 to 19.999 points
“qualified” from 1.000 to 4.999 points
“beginner” up to 999 points

How are points given?
Increasing your points amount and your popularity in iShopps is amusing and easy, you have only to share using the app your enjoyable shopping experiences. Moreover you can get points and reach new levels by other actions (as becoming “Follower” of users and stores) that allow you to get points in different quantities. Here is a list of actions that can give you points:

100 points
registration with ID invite e-mail
retailer registration (when a retailer registers using your ID e-mail)

50 points
user registration
other user registration (when a user registers with your ID e-mail)

30 points
add store (when you add the name of a store)

20 points
video upload
follower (followed by users or a retailer)

10 points
photo upload
photo/video “like” by another user
following (follow another user)
fan (becoming a fan of a retailer)
love brands (add a brand to the personal list)
invite a friend (sending an e-mail invitation)

1 point
photo/video “like” on other user item

Once you reach the maximum amount of points of status you will reach automatically the next status level.

What is “Love brands”?
It means that you can identify the Brands you love, choosing them from a list or adding new. In this way you can share with your follower your favourite brands and find out those of people you follow. By these indications in future you will receive specific information about products of your favourite brands.

What does “Love stores” mean?
In the page “Love stores” you can find a list of all the stores that opened an account on iShopps and that you decided to follow. Names are linked, so that you can easily go to the pages of the stores you love.

How can I change information of my account?
It’s easy. You have to go to Settings, Profile and decide which information you want to change.

How can I delete my account?
You have to go to Settings, account and then choose delete account.

How can I invite Friends?
If you want to invite your friends, you have to go to Account, Invite a friend and then just write the e-mail address and a message. Then just send the invitation and… that’s it!

Then, in order to make your shopping experience more complete, we are also giving retailers the opportunity to share with you promotions, discounts, offers, new products and any other information that can help you improving your shopping experience.

I am a retailer, what are the advantages of using iShopps?
iShopps allows you to post and share all the news about your store, keeping informed the users, in a quick and simple way. Using iShopps you can increase your store and products visibility, and enlarge the amount of potential custemrs.
Moreover the users on iShopps are shopping addicted that on iShopps can view the products of your shop windows at any time, even where your store is closed.
Using the app you can give to your shop an innovative imagine, as customers want today, and keeping in touch with them in a more continuative way.

What are “store”, “product” and “on offer” and how can I use them?
iShopps allows retailers to display photographs and/or short recordings (maximum 15 seconds), ranking them in three categories: “store”, “product” and “on offer”.

In the “store” category it is possible to post pictures or videos of the store (shop windows, environments, store areas, etc.), for each picture the retailer can write a short comment and add tags (key words for the research).

In the “product” category it is possible to post pictures and videos of the selling products, for each picture retailer can write a short comment and add price in local currency (that can be selected in the “Settings” area), tags (key words for the research).

In the category “on offer” it is possible to post pictures and videos on offer, for each picture the retailer can write a short comment, the old price and the new price in local currency (the App will calculate automatically the percentage of discount), date of ending of the offer and tags (key words for the research).

For any category selected, the retailer can decided to share that item on Facebook.
Pictures display is currently authorized according to the following numerical restrictions:
- in the “store” category it is possible to display up to a maximum of 9 (nine) images
- in the “product” category it is possible to display up to a maximum of 18 (eighteen) images
- in the “on offer” category it is possible to display up to a maximum of 9 (nine) images.

Retailers must delete photos that have already been posted if they wish to upload new ones if they have reached the maximum number of posts allowed.

The new images uploaded in the category “on offer” must be accompanies by the expiry date of the offer established by the retailer during the upload. This expiry date cannot be more than 365 days. Once this established date has expired, the sentence “offer expired” will appear under the image, istead of the expiry date itself. However the image will remain visible for the iShopps users until the retailer decides to delete it.

The future versions of the application will enable the limit of the number of images that can be displayed by each retailer to be exceeded, by means of the acquisition of “credits” that will make it possible to manage the pay per day communication campaign autonomously.

How much does the iShopps service cost?
iShopps is a “Freemium” App, that allows you to share freely and forever up to a maximum of 18 products, 9 offers and 9 shop windows of your store. This way you can always and in real time keep a significant sample of your products on sale up to date. If, on the other hand, you want to widen your range of products, offers or shop windows in your retail outlet, we are working to offer you the chance to purchase more space, on a pay per day basis.

What does pay-per-day mean?
The pay-per-day is a way to pay that allows you to check and manage in an independent and easy way the visibility of your products on iShopps.
This way, if compared to classic methods as pay-per-view or pay-per-click, allows you to manage more efficiently the communication about your products.
Every time you decide to post on iShopps one of your products, the iShopps system will calculate a publication cost per day. So you can manage in an independent way time and costs of your advertising campaign.

Why taking pictures of products inside my stores?
Stores owners and shop managers are the only responsible for the authorization to take pictures and tape videos inside their stores. If people take pictures of your products you can increase your popularity and your visibility for your business and for your products and also gain more potential customers.

We informed our users that, if the storekeepers are not allowing pictures and videos inside their stores, they will have to follow this regulation.

That’s why, any violation of these requests will be responsibility of the single users and not of iShopps. Please for more details visit the “terms of use” area.

May I sell products on iShopps?
iShopps has been developed in order to make your customers shopping experience special, and increase the number of people inside the store. Maybe in the future we will offer an e-commerce service for those users that may not be able to reach your store but would like to buy your product.

How can I delete an image?
If you want to delete an image of any item, shop window or offer, you are free to do that at any time by using the button “delete”. In this case that item will not be viewable on iShopps anymore.

Who can tag inside my store?
When the picture is taken, the geotag function allows users to localize himself inside your store. In this way we avoid fake sharing of your products.

How can I change currency?
It’s easy. Using the App go to the Settings section and select “Currency”. Then select the correct currency.

What can I do with the “brands” area?
You can put there the brands you sell inside your store, choosing them from a database. So you can let your customers know about the brands they can find and increase your business opportunity.

I can’t find the brands I sell in the list, what can I do?
The brands list is continually updated, send us an e-mail to support@ishopps.com with the names of the brands you would like to have and we will update the list.

I am the owner/manager of a chain of shops. How can I register?
If you own a chain of shops/brands, please contact us at info@ishopps.com. We will find the best solution for your business, in order to make your shopping experience more complete.

How can I claim if my store has been taken by someone else?
If you are the responsible/owner of a store and someone else has used your name improperly, please contact us using the Support area on our website.

How can I change information of my account?
It’s easy. You have to go to Settings, Profile and decide which information you want to change.
